• Scientific scope

    This workshop will highlight recent results obtained using X-ray and neutron techniques in energy materials research. It will address the correlation of structural features with the physical properties required for energy applications. The programme has been designed to give scientists the opportunity to share ideas and explore new research strategies for energy materials.

    Prior to this event a specialised School on Diffraction on Energy Materials will take place at the ILL (8 and 9 October 2018). The School will combine a selection of lectures with intensive hands-on sessions. Participants will encounter advanced tools for diffraction data treatment, using Rietveld refinement programmes such as FullProf or independent refinement programmes such as FAULTS.   • Participants

    The School on Diffraction on Energy Materials (8th and 9th October 2018) is intended for PhD students and young researchers with a basic knowledge of diffraction techniques and crystallography, as well as for experienced scientists seeking a practical overview of the most important developments in the field over recent years.
